About Artist - Eric Glendenning

Home Previous Page
Eric is retired, and turned to painting after losing his faithful German Shepherd Bruce, which was a big personal loss.

He began by painting dog portraits by commission in acrylic, and later commissions in human portraits followed. He attended several painting tutorials under professional artists, and after following the Constable style, he turned to solely painting in oils.

For the past three years he has developed his own method of producing large flower paintings, and has introduced the use of water drops to provide a greater realism to his work. He has given several demonstrations, and has won several awards locally in competitions, the latest being the June 2008 Town Centre Exhibition in Redditch where he won first prize and silver cup for his rose "Close Encounters with Raindrops".
