After leaving school Geoff Butterworth went into Engineering and gained his qualifications, training in engineering drawing with a view to entering the drawing office of his employers, Before his training ended, he was involved in a serious road accident which put him out of work for several years and left him partially disabled. During this time his love of art came to the fore and inspired by the work of the Kentish Artist ROWLAND HILDER, he decided to study watercolour and to take up art full time. This move paid off, for by his third exhibition in his second year of painting his work sold out.
Since then Geoff has had at least two exhibitions a year either shared or one man, in many leading galleries.
