I am well travelled, I have lived in East Africa, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Canada and now reside in Dubai. Through my encounters, I have developed an awareness, appreciation and understanding of the world around us and the human experience. My art is born primarily from my experiences, emotions and imagination, thus I have the luxury to concentrate on the overall impact and meaning of the piece. I strive to deliver more than just a painting, each piece is a portal into the world of my perception and a journey to a better understanding.
My objective is to create paintings with dynamic composition, abundance of colour and texture, and a sense of being that evokes an emotional response from the viewer.
My inspiration comes from the love and desire the human heart searches for, the hope and success we all strive for and the tragedy and failure that surrounds us all. I believe, the creative process has at it's core a contemplative and a spiritual understanding that can never be truly mastered, there will always be new discoveries to grasp, new encounters to be had and new creations to be made.'
