Chris left school aged 15 and worked at three different jobs before becoming a landscape gardener at the age of 20. Two years later Chris started his own landscape business and ran this successfully for 36 years.
Chris Rouse learnt his painting skills with Geoff W Birks of Pudsey over a number of years. When Geoff became ill Chris was persauded to run some of his classes and eventually closed his landscape gardening business to concentrate on his watercolours and teaching art privately and in addition opened his own gallery.
Chris Rouse has paintings in various countries throughout the world from Australia to Italy and France.
