A teacher by profession, Gillian now uses these skills running and teaching her own adult art courses. This includes annual retreats to France with groups of artists on painting holidays.
Inspiration for her painting arises from a fascination with shape and colour, providing endless opportunities for experiment with different interpretations. Gillian works chiefly in oils, though water-colour, pastels and other media also feature.
Her paintings are in private collections in America, New Zealand and Great Britain. Gillian has had significant success exhibiting and selling her work at , The Royal Academy and various other galleries around London plus DFN Gallery in New York and Christie-Wild International Gallery in Florida.
